Discover one of Sri Lanka’s most famous traditions — Ceylon tea. Visit a tea plantation and factory and learn how fresh tea leaves are transformed into the Ceylon tea enjoyed around the world. Tea tasting is included where available.
2. Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya
Approx. 60 minutes
Explore one of Sri Lanka’s most famous botanical gardens. Walk among tropical trees, palms, orchids, flowering plants and exotic species while enjoying the peaceful historic surroundings.
3. Kandy Spice Walk
2 Hours
Discover Sri Lankan spices, herbs and traditional Ayurvedic plants, experience an authentic village-style kitchen, take part in hands-on Sri Lankan cooking and enjoy a complimentary authentic Sri Lankan lunch.
4. Sri Lankan Gem Museum
Approx. 20–30 minutes
Discover Sri Lanka’s gemstone heritage and learn about traditional gem mining, cutting and polishing. See gemstones associated with Sri Lanka, including the island’s famous sapphires.
Purchasing gemstones or jewellery is completely optional.
5. Bahirawakanda Big Buddha
Approx. 20–25 minutes
Visit the impressive Bahirawakanda Buddha overlooking Kandy and enjoy panoramic views across the city and surrounding hills.
6. Kandy Viewpoint
Approx. 15 minutes
Enjoy panoramic views across Kandy Lake, the city and the surrounding green hills. This is one of the tour’s best photography stops.
7. Traditional Wood-Carving Workshop
Approx. 20 minutes
See traditional Sri Lankan craftsmanship and discover how local craftsmen transform timber into detailed sculptures, masks, ornaments and decorative pieces.
Purchases are completely optional.
8. Kandy Lake
Approx. 10–15 minutes
Enjoy a scenic tuk-tuk drive beside historic Kandy Lake with time for photographs.
9. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic
Approx. 45–60 minutes
Visit Sri Dalada Maligawa — the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic — one of Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist and cultural landmarks. Discover its importance in Sri Lankan history and Buddhist tradition.
Guests should dress respectfully. Shoulders and knees must be covered, and footwear must be removed before entering designated temple areas.
