Your Colombo Night Tour Itinerary
1. Red Mosque / Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque
Approx. 15–20 minutes
Begin your Colombo experience at one of the city’s most distinctive architectural landmarks.
The Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque, commonly known as the Red Mosque, is famous for its striking red-and-white design and is one of Colombo’s most photographed buildings.
Interior access is subject to mosque visitor hours, prayer times and religious activities. When interior access is unavailable, the stop will be enjoyed as an exterior sightseeing and photography experience.
2. Historic Colombo Fort & Dutch Hospital
Approx. 30–40 minutes
Travel through historic Colombo Fort and discover the city’s colonial heritage.
See important historic buildings and landmarks including colonial-era architecture, the Old Parliament area, Clock Tower and other notable Fort landmarks.
Stop at the restored Dutch Hospital precinct, one of Colombo’s best-known colonial buildings.
3. Gangaramaya Temple & Seema Malaka
Approx. 35–45 minutes
Visit one of Colombo’s best-known Buddhist temples and discover its mixture of Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian and Chinese Buddhist influences.
Continue to nearby Seema Malaka, the peaceful lakeside temple on Beira Lake.
Guests should dress respectfully when entering Buddhist religious sites. Shoulders and knees should be covered and footwear may need to be removed.
4. Ceylora Global Experience
Approx. 2 hours
Taste Pure Ceylon Tea, discover Sri Lankan spices, prepare your own traditional coconut sambol and dhal curry, and enjoy the authentic Sri Lankan food you helped prepare.
A complimentary traditional herbal drink is included. Guests who are interested may also experience an optional traditional Ayurvedic Nadi pulse observation with the on-site Ayurvedic doctor.
5. Gem Bureau – Sri Lankan Gem & Jewellery Experience
Approx. 25–30 minutes
Discover Sri Lanka’s world-famous gemstone heritage.
Learn about Ceylon sapphires, traditional gem mining, cutting and polishing, Sri Lankan precious and semi-precious stones and jewellery craftsmanship.
Purchasing gemstones or jewellery is completely optional.
6. Colombo Lotus Tower at Night
Approx. 15–20 minutes
See one of Colombo’s most recognizable modern landmarks illuminated after dark.
The Lotus Tower becomes especially impressive at night when its colourful lighting dominates the Colombo skyline.
The standard tour includes a night photography and sightseeing stop.
7. Independence Square at Night
Approx. 15–20 minutes
Visit the Independence Memorial Hall and surrounding Independence Square after dark.
Enjoy a short walk through the illuminated area while learning about its importance in Sri Lanka’s modern history.
8. Galle Face Green
Approx. 20 minutes
Finish your Colombo experience beside the Indian Ocean at Galle Face Green.
Enjoy Colombo’s evening atmosphere, sea breeze and illuminated skyline while taking in views of the ocean and surrounding city.
9. Return Transfer
